Authors from 7 Balkan countries will take part in the Sofia Literature  Festival 10  -  15 December 2013

The idea of the organizer – the Bulgarian Book Association – is that the festival be held annually and turn into the most representative literary forum in Bulgaria, bringing together authors from all countries. Each year the international participation in the event will have a different regional accent. For the first edition the focus  is the Balkans.

The Sofia International Literary Festival presents contemporary poetry and prose and aims to popularize quality literature among Bulgarian readers.

Over 53 Balkan authors from Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Greece will participate in the first edition of the Sofia International Book Fair.

The event is in support of Sofia and the South-West Region - candidate for European Capital of Culture 2019.
